NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP WEEK – EVENT
Expanding Registered Apprenticeship for CHWs:
We have created an Intersection to Inform and Connect.
What is National Apprenticeship Week?
We look forward to celebrating the 10th Annual National Apprenticeship Week (NAW): November 17-23, 2024! NAW is a nationwide celebration where industry, labor, equity, workforce, education, and government leaders host events to showcase the successes and value of Registered Apprenticeship for re-building our economy, advancing racial and gender equity, and supporting underserved communities. NAW is an opportunity to highlight how Registered Apprenticeship, a proven and industry-driven training model, provides a critical talent pipeline that can help to address some of our nation’s pressing workforce challenges such as rebuilding our country’s infrastructure, addressing critical supply chain demands, supporting a clean energy workforce, modernizing our cybersecurity response, and responding to care economy issues.

About This Event:
According to the Department of Public Health, Community Health Workers (CHWs) are essential to our local communities and the allied healthcare workforce. This event is designed to create a space where CHWs can connect with potential employers and learn about career pathways in apprenticeships. It highlights opportunities for job seekers to earn while they learn through on-the-job training, combined with classroom and online education that focuses on core skills and competencies. Together, we will explore ways to align your interests with a career as a CHW and enhance opportunities for professional growth.
